Well. I've finally entered the 21st century, I guess. I just signed up for a Twitter account. You can see the address below. I'm sure
I'll be a bit of a boring Tweeter (is that what we're called?) until I get the hang of it. I haven't posted my first Tweet yet, which is
glaringly evident if you go to the address, since it states that fact right there. Way to make a person feel inept...
However, and more much more exciting, I have a second piece of news. The rights to Midnight Hearts--my super spicy paranormal
romance--reverted to me some time ago. I have taken the plunge that so many authors are taking, whether just starting out,
mid-list, or even best sellers with a serious backlist---I am self-publishing Midnight Hearts. It will be available shortly as an ebook
through Smashwords, on Barnes & Noble, for the Kindle, Apple, etc. I am so psyched! Maybe that will be my first tweet! Would
make sense, yes? I designed the cover (at right). I must say, I DO like it. The book, for those of you who have read it, has been
rewritten, so there is new content to be enjoyed.
Secondly, I will be having a contest to celebrate. (I've got your attention now, don't I?) It will run like
this: On the contest page will be a form to fill out. I'll just need your e-mail address and a question.
The question will be one that you make up, to ask me about any one of my books you've read. It can
be a question like, "What was your motivation?" "How do you come up with your characters [setting]
[ideas]?" "Why the heck didn't so-and-so and so-and so get together?" "What do you eat for breakfast?"
Anything you'd like to ask, actually, as long as it's not too personal. The plan is this -- I will pick a
question every week to answer, via video or tweet. You will probably want to check out the videos to see
if it's your question being answered. Then, of those people whose questions I've answered, I will be
choosing one at the end of three months to win a grand prize, a second place prize, and a third place
prize. I haven't quite figured out the 2nd and 3rd place prizes yet, but the Grand Prize will be an
article of handmade jewelry in keeping with the storyline of Midnight Hearts, and made by moi.
Check the contest page over the next couple of weeks for details and the start date.
